“Admittedly, in August of 1985, I went into a total emotional tailspin. Like a child without a father, I felt lost thinking about Grady’s death. I had no direction and I couldn’t seem to focus.”

–J. Edward Cornelius, “After the Death of Grady Louis McMurtry”, Cornelia Cornucopia

Cornelia Cornucopia is now in press and open for pre-orders. It comprises selections from both published and unpublished issues of J. Edward “Jerry” Cornelius’ Cornelia magazine (2007-2008). Curating this new publication,  Christopher and I have gotten to reflect upon Jerry’s lifetime of teachings. We also give him what we hope is a fitting tribute.

In a long, illuminating, and never-before-published article entitled “After the Death of Grady Louis McMurtry”, Jerry shares his struggles to cope with losing his beloved Teacher, Grady, while also crossing the Abyss. He compares how he felt to how a child losing a father might feel. It seems that Grady gave order and purpose to his Universe up until then.

In our different ways, Christopher and I are undergoing something similar now that Jerry has left this plane. Not only do we now appreciate the weight he bore for all humanity, but we cherish his wisdom all the more. We hope you find this book as enriching to read as we have.
