The Fringe Datebook by J. Edward Cornelius
$20.00
This book contains over 1,770 biographical sketches listed by birthdays of fringe people, famous occultists such as Aleister Crowley, his followers, friends and acquaintances, his Scarlet Women and lovers, modern Thelemites, famous Masons, New Agers and Satanists, witches, alien contactees and UFO specialists, astrologers and famous psychics, psychologists, occult oriented musicians, actors and actresses of the less-than-mainstream movies, sci-fi and fantasy authors, cartoonists and artists, freaks, cowboys and murderers, less-than-nice people, all of whom made J. Edward impishly hold his hands over his mouth like Linda Blair in The Exorcist after she watched the priest have a heart attack and die. 822 pages of amusing anecdotes and insightful facts. Berkeley: Cornelius, 2018. Limited to 200 copies only, and signed by Cornelius.

Reviews
Rev. Michael S. Margolin, Sunnyvale, CA: This is one of the very few books that I’ve found that’s actually fun to read.
Don Fletcher, Dallas, TX: Just received my copy of ‘The Fringe Datebook’ in the mail and exclaimed HOLY FUCKING SHIT! this is awesome! Wow! I was not expecting this “masterwork of psycho-spiritual inspiration”. It’s a book of over 800 pages of pure inspiration for someone looking to begin any kind of creative project. Or for mere reading enjoyment.
When I opened the book for the first time (ala bibliomancy) I landed on page 77. January 31, 1960. Grant Morrison. And I read: “Everyone does magic all the time in different ways. ‘Life’ plus ‘significance’ = magic”.
This book is a “Magick Book”. It is a “Magick Weapon”….because it is to me, and it’s my book now, so there!
When I was in art school one of my great teachers had us make a similar book of inspirational images. We were to collect them from any source and put them in a binder for later creative inspiration. I have continued this practice for decades. So I especially resonate with J. Edward’s project here. And I thank him for having the patience to keep a damn record and share it with the world! I look forward to years of using this Magick Book!
Here are some photos of some of my image collection I spoke of and also J. Edward’s book after I got it in the mail. [See product gallery.]
K. M., San Francisco, CA: “Hot off the presses! This huge book is so much fun!”
Tony Iannotti, New Jersey: “Received with great pleasure! First impressions, have hardly dipped into it yet, but the Fringe Datebook now loosed upon the world is a Tremendous Treasure-house of Trivia, Rich and Risible. Full of fun facts and interpretations, it is more than just a datebook, it is also a peepshow view into the overflowing mind of that phenomenon known as Jerry Cornelius, a strange and terrifying thing to behold….”
JD Holmes, Sequim, WA: “I think people should buy the book as it’s a pretty keen piece of work, looks well made, and fun besides.”
Michael Shane Margolin, Sunnyvale, CA: “Tell Jerry Thank you too cool. … Thank you all got it Friday great book.”
David Solina, Atlanta, Georgia: “I love reading the Fringe. I used to look forward to your history buff posts every day, now I can do it with expanded pleasure without turning on the computer in the morning. Its great to start a day with a good chuckle or an oh my I never knew.”
Richard Cole, Royston, Barnsley, United Kingdom: “Wishing Jerry and Erica every success with their latest, THE FRINGE DATEBOOK … Big congratulations also for the success of their previous release, Memoirs of an A.’.A.’ Initiate. Jerry at his very best (again), writing on a subject he clearly knows like the back of his hand and about which he is intensely passionate. Shame the plot is reminiscent of Monty Python does Lord of The Rings (with a cast of Richard III wannabes). Nevertheless, Jerry narrates the tale superbly – Fabulous stuff.”
Jerry responds to Mr. Cole: “You’re too kind, thank you. … If you think the Memoirs of an A.’.A.’. Initiate is a good read, wait until I release Memoirs of an O.T.O. Initiate, due out in early 2019! It will produce a wide-eyed gag-reflex in many readers (he says with a big smile).”
PARTIAL SUBJECT INDEX
The Fringe Date Book is so complicated that it is virtually impossible to create a subject index without it being almost as long as the book itself. This list is merely a flavor of who is inside. This should not be taken as a definitive index. It lists less than half of all the names in the entire book.
