One year ago today, the world lost a Magus and great teacher guiding humanity forward: Frater Achad Osher 583 AKA J. Edward Cornelius (July 14, 1951-December 8, 2023). Jerry had a unique destiny to explicate and develop the phallic side of Aleister Crowley’s formula of ON. Yet, he distinguished himself by pouring his attention into Know Thyself—day by day, month by month, year by year. He looked within. He withdrew enough from the world not to get caught up in its games. If there’s one thing in which you imitate him, let it be that.

In his unpublished autobiography, he wrote:

“If you haven’t guessed, I always knew or realized that I was being tempered in an Alchemical furnace in order to bring about a certain experience of some kind, maybe not great, not special, but my own. I also strongly adhere to the belief that I will never know if I succeeded. I can only speculate. An old friend of mine, namely Grady Louis McMurtry, once wrote – ‘The moment of ultimate self-embarrassment is when you die. That is when you wake up.’ In other words, when you die you get to review your whole incarnation with all its good and bad moments, then you shake your head and see whether or not you really fulfilled anything at all. Then, with a great big shit-ass smile, you get back into another saddle and ride another horse off into the Sunset.”

We miss you, Jerry!
